Oh hell, it's been awhile, but that's nothing new. Anyway, happy international women's day to all my female-identifying humans out there! In honor of you all, I compiled a small playlist of empowering female artists. I hope that you all enjoy!!*
*NB: The playlist is nowhere near complete, so if you have any suggestions, please let me know! ps: If your feminism isn't intersectional, then it isn't feminism.

With the closing of November, I bring you S&S vol. 2.04, which is a collection of new music, which I have stumbled upon through the month. It includes everything from unreleased Wings demos to The 1975's new album, which was just released today. As always, I hope that you find a song or two that you like. I mostly do these things as a musical archive for myself, but I think that some of you may actually enjoy it as well, which is why I keep posting.
PS: Hope that you all had lovely Thanksgivings, and that you are enjoying the Holiday season. I know it gets lonely sometimes, but just remember that you are loved by someone, even if it doesn't feel like it. x
Okay, so I never posted the Halloween playlist because it got too long and complicated aka I was trying to make a story that told of a "Hotel Haunting" and had difficulty incorporating all the songs in a way that would make some logical sense. Apologies, you lot, but I didn't want to post something of which I wasn't proud. Maybe one day I will post the playlist (because I am still working on it), but it will probably be sometime in December, which oddly works seeing as my main inspiration stems from "The Shining."
In other news: HOLY CRAP! 15 likes on my last installment of S&S?! This is the most likes I have ever received on any post, which makes me believe that my website was hacked as most of my friends ignore the fact that I still run a music blog (if I can even call it that anymore). But THANK YOU, INTERNET FRIENDS. Much appreciated. x Anyway, as I slowly work through my next installment of S&S, here is a throwback to my days as a radio DJ. Oddly enough, I started working on this playlist almost 4 years ago to the day, so enjoy a blast from the past. PS: You may be wondering why I didn't post this tomorrow when it will be 4 years to the day? Well, I was too excited about the increase in viewership to wait. #sueme
Ciao, you lot! October has arrived and with it chilly temperature (f*ck yeah!), revelations (positive ones), and, of course, new music. Below you will find the latest installment of S&S, which is a compilation of all the new darlings I have stumbled upon during the past month. Like always, I hope you lot enjoy the playlist!
ps: there is a fun little Halloween playlist coming this Saturday to get you in the spooky mood
*insert hackneyed reference to Earth, Wind, & Fire's smash hit, "September" here*
Well, hello, internet. We meet, again, and surprisingly not with a #tbt playlist. Much to my surprise, I actually had enough time today at work to compile a S&S playlist of September's indie darlings (so far). And is is too often the case, the playlist will grow as I discover new tracks throughout the month, but until then, I hope that you find a song or two that you love (or at least fancy a bit). x |
